Team 4 Match Recap 🐝💙🧡
Team 4 faced Panthers last night — only down by 2 in the first quarter, but as the game went on, Panthers found their rhythm and pulled ahead, creating a 10-goal lead by half-time.
We struggled at times to move the ball effectively from the centre third into the goal third and feed our shooters cleanly. Defensively, there was some great teamwork, but we need to keep working on elevation and dictation to apply more pressure.
There were flashes of brilliance in our movement up court, and now it’s about bringing that consistency for the full 4 quarters 💪 Our shooters worked hard, but we need to focus on dominating the circle and controlling the space to make life harder for defenders.
Every game is a learning experience — hopefully everyone took something from this one to build on next time!
Final score: 21–35 (Loss)
⭐ CPOM: Melody — for her great movement and composed shooting 👏🏼

Team 1 Match Recap 🐝💙🧡
Team 1 faced a very strong and physical Palmers Green side last night. From the first whistle, the opposition made it tough to get free, reading the game well and picking off several passes through intercepts and tips.
Our movement wasn’t quite on form — too often we ran away from the ball instead of driving forward or changing direction to create options. Combined with some off ball placement, it gave Palmers Green opportunities to turn the ball over.
Defence worked tirelessly, but their GS proved difficult to contain — an experienced shooter who held space effectively and converted well.
Although it finished 35–54, there were plenty of lessons learned:
✅ Movement and possession are key
✅ Never give up — keep applying pressure
✅ Every intercept against a tough opponent is a win 💪
⭐ CPOM: Georgia — for her consistent pressure, great tips and intercepts, and relentless drive to win the ball 👏🏼
Well played, girls — learning, improving, and growing every game! 🧡💙

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day run smoothly — our scorers, timekeepers, and umpires 👏 — and to the clubs who came along and supported this important event.
It was brilliant to see so much talent, teamwork, and positivity on court. Well done to everyone who took part! 🌟

Well done all 🧡💙
A great game for U11 Oranges this morning against Turnford. The girls started strongly, looking after the ball on their centre passes and defending well on Turnford’s. Their passing was much better than yesterday, they all changed direction and drove onto the ball which resulted in a 37-18 win!

✨ Well done girls ✨
A lovely sunny afternoon of netball for the U12 Navy team who played in the Hornets B team tournament at Presdales.
The girls convincingly won 4 out of 5 games, only losing to the overall winners, Wodson. Well done to Daisy and Pumpkin who were voted joint Players Player of the tournament - both were as feisty as always 💪🏻 And well done to Coaches Player, Evelyn, for being solid at the back in GK, picking up lots of tips and interceptions in the defensive circle.
A really fun afternoon, and some fantastic netball too; can’t get much better than that! 🧡💙

A strong 61–32 win for the Hornets! 🐝💙🧡
The girls played brilliantly — we mixed things up in the final quarter, and it worked really well 👏
Special mention to Immy, who pushed through even though she wasn’t feeling 100% (good call coming off in the last quarter 💪).
⭐ POM: Summer — for her excellent movement and brilliant feeding into the circle!
Great game, great energy #hornetsnetball #blueandorangefamily💙🐝🧡 #hornetspride
BDNL Navy Team Match Recap 🐝🔥
Our Navy team took to the court this morning against Swan 2. Ball placement and movement needed some work early on, but once we settled, we took the lead and kept it right through to the final whistle! 💪
The girls listened, adapted, and improved their movement and depth up the court beautifully. 👏
✨ OPOM: Kayleigh — superb movement, excellent shooting, and great holding in the circle.
✨ CPOMs:
• Isabel F — brilliant interceptions and strong, confident passing.
• Jasmine — fantastic defensive focus, staying tight in the circle, positioning spot-side, and showing great elevation for rebounds — with some amazing tips and intercepts!

A tough match for the U11 Orange team this morning against Abbey Flyers. It was going goal for goal but we managed to go 3 goals up at half time. Abbey Flyers stepped up their defending in the 2nd half and we threw too many balls that weren’t strong enough allowing AF to turn over the ball. The girls kept fighting for every ball and it finished 23-23.
🧡 OPOM was Emily who worked hard as C
💙 CPOM was Lucy who had to step in as WD, she listened to her instructions and marked her player very tightly.
Well done girls 🤩
It was a strong start this morning by the U11 Navy squad finishing the first quarter on an even keel. Unfortunately a few wayward passes and mistimed runs left us a lot to catch up in the second half. We came back fighting but we couldn’t quite make up the goal deficit. Great work from everyone and especially to…
🧡 Violetta for OPOM
💙 Victoria for PPOM and Isabelle for amazing defence work. 💙
Brilliant effort from this lovely U10 bunch today! Good intentions, but couldn’t quite execute their ideas consistently enough throughout the game. The circle defence worked their socks off earning themselves players of the match 💪.
Well done team! 👏 🧡💙

All the girls played brilliantly and really put into practice everything we’ve been working on in training. It was amazing to see them listening, adapting, and implementing what us coaches have been asking for 👏
✨ Players of the Match:

• Alice — fantastic movement, great use of space, and smart decision-making at GS and WA 👏
A special well done to Grace, Daisy, Kara, Jess, and Alice for playing so well in their first ever game with Hornets! 💙🧡 We’re so proud of you all!

Senior Squad Match Recap 🐝🔥
A very competitive game for our Senior girls in the Harlow League against Tegate on Tuesday night. 💪
The girls worked hard against a strong defence, showing patience and re-offering smartly before feeding the circle — and it paid off as we went 4 goals up at half-time! 🙌
Tegate came out stronger in the second half, applying pressure and forcing a few errors. Some loose passes and dropped balls created turnovers, but the team kept fighting. Jasmine and Mia worked brilliantly in the circle to keep creating scoring opportunities. 👏
✨ OPOM: Lyra Reason — great effort at both ends of the court.
✨ CPOM: Erin Harrison — consistent and hard-working in attack and defence.
A solid performance and lots to take forward — well played, girls! 💙🧡
