Safeguarding…

Netball should be fun, and you should always feel safe and enjoy the sport.

Hertford Hornets Netball Club is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all young people to play netball. We accept responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all young people, and at risk adults, and protect them from poor practice, abuse and bullying. We are bound by and adhere to the policies of England Netball, which relate to safeguarding and protecting young people in netball. Links to these documents can be found below.

Hornets has been awarded Silver CAPS – the Netball Clubmark, which is built around a set of core criteria to ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent and accepted minimum operating standards, of which Safeguarding forms part of. Clubmark is universally recognised by clubs wishing to show good practice and demonstrate commitment in developing young people within their club.

All our Players, Parents, Carers and Volunteers are required to have read, understood and agree to abide by Codes of Conducts. Links to these are available below.

Should you have any concerns or queries regarding Safeguarding, please contact our designated Safeguarding Officer who will ensure that all concerns are listened to and dealt with in accordance with England Netball’s procedures.
